This is a tightly-insulated 120 SF passive solar structure that seems to only require the heat of a computer and a person to stay cozy. Almost all the wood is FSC certified or salvaged, the lights are high efficacy and the paints and finishes are mostly zero VOC, some are compostable. The concrete slab has some of the Portland cement replaced with fly ash. Construction by John Mcbride.

The project was recently featured in an article by Dwell magazine.

The desk is made from 2 sheets of apple-ply with a space for storing paper and plans; the round end of the desk is a piece of salvaged redwood.
