SMALL studio: The FOrt
The interesting shape of this studio arises from a desire to fit a comfortable work station and a built-in couch long enough to lie down, high windows on the south side for daylight and warmth, all without making too big of an impact on a small garden.
This structure is tightly insulated and most of the wood is salvaged or FSC certified. The lights are LED. The paints and finishes are all zero VOC and some are compostable. The concrete slab has some of the portland cement replaced with fly ash.
